What makes our Cream Tea award winning

The Waymarker prides itself on its locally-sourced, award-winning Cornish cream teas. We think our selection of local Cornish companies make our Cream Tea such a memorable experience. We are lucky and privileged to be able to work with those producers who provide the best and freshest produce that Cornwall can offer. Here’s our map of where these companies are located

As standard, The Waymarker likes to serve Tregothnan Tea, produced by blending leafs from their own plantation on the Cornish Tregothnan Estate, located near just south east of Truro, the Cornish capital. We also have several delicious coffee drinks available, all using single source beans from Olfactory Coffee – a global coffee roastery based in Penryn.

With your Afternoon teas we serve our freshly made sandwiches, made with Cornish bread from Prima Bakeries in Scorrier. We offer traditional fillings of Tregida Smokehouse smoked salmon and cucumber, which where possible we source locally to ensure freshness.

All of our scones are homemade on the premises to give our customers the best possible taste and freshness. We have both sweet and savoury scones available, with a gluten free choice in each option. We serve our unique square shaped scones on Delabole slate sourced form North Cornwall and handcrafted by Steven’s Cornish Slate Company.

What is a Cornish scone without the cream and jam? To go with our warm, delicious scones we have Rodda’s famous Cornish clotted cream to smear generously on top of Boddington’s Berries sweet, thick strawberry jam.

We are so happy to be able to use and provide our customers the best produce Cornwall can offer. By supporting local companies we help to keep Cornwall’s economy alive.
