Nature Trails

The nearby nature trails and footpaths are another reason to make use of The Waymarker as a base. There is a permissive path leading from the restaurant car park to the NE towards Meyn Pern Farm through the interesting disused quarry workings or along the stream fringe.

The map of the trails we have delineated is available below as well as on the numbered posts along the red route.  This footpath links with the Public Right Of Way creating a circular walk from Constantine village, as detailed in the “Five Walks Around Constantine” publication. It takes you through small grassland fields where ponds have been created, to benefit all wildlife, and through now redundant quarry workings. From the footpath, there are views to the west towards small enclosed farmland fields and disused quarry workings that were once a major feature of the area, showing how both farming and mining existed together. Please keep dogs under control and remove dog faeces. The webpage of DEFRA has a full image of the trail as a pdf for download
