February 1st 2015 is national Yorkshire pudding day and we serve a tasty homemade yorkshire pudding with each of our meat & vegetarian choices on the weekly Sunday roast lunch options. The first written recipe was in 1747 by Hannah Glasse, who seasoned her batter with grated nutmeg and ginger. Shortlisted Best Cornwall Sunday Roast 2nd year running

We are so pleased to announce our repeated success at being shortlisted as a finalist in “Cornwall Life” magazine’s Food and Drink awards 2014 in their “Best Cornwall Sunday Roast” category. The shortlist features many great Cornish restaurants and businesses and we are so honoured to be listed amongst them for the second consecutive year.

Award winning Cornish Cream Tea

On Monday 22nd of September 2014 we won the “Truly Cornish Clotted Cream Tea” category at the Awards ceremony for @ChooseCornish, an initiative from @CornwallFood & Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. There were some great contenders in our category as well as other well established and highly regarded businesses among the other shortlisted entrants.
